"Excellent control and durability for glass mousepads I've been using the X-Raypad Obsidian PRO Air skates on a glass mousepad, and they've easily become my favorite skates so far. The first thing I noticed was how much quieter they are compared to standard PTFE skates. The added foam layer does a great job reducing the scratchy sound and vibration without making the glide feel sluggish. They still feel incredibly smooth, but with noticeably more stopping power and control, which makes micro-adjustments and tracking feel much more consistent. The UHMWPE material also seems far more durable than regular PTFE. After plenty of gaming, they show very little wear, which is exactly what I was looking for on a glass pad. The glide remains consistent instead of changing dramatically after a few sessions. This combination of quieter operation, durability, and controlled glide is a major selling point for glass mousepad users. If you're looking for pure speed, there are faster options available. But if you want a controlled, predictable glide with excellent durability and much less noise, the Obsidian PRO Air is hard to beat. Pros: Very smooth but controlled glide Excellent stopping power for FPS games Much quieter than standard skates Outstanding durability on glass mousepads Easy to customize with different dot layouts Cons: Slight break-in period before they feel their best Not the fastest skate if maximum speed is your priority Overall, I highly recommend these for anyone using a glass mousepad who values precision and consistency over raw speed.
