Our Story

Ausmodshop began in early 2019 in Perth, Western Australia, when our founder, Ben, started hand-making custom paracord mouse cables to order from his garage. These cables were built to the highest standards of flexibility, lightness, and performance, providing Australians with a unique niche product that couldn’t easily be sourced locally or matched in quality. What started as a small hobby quickly grew into a passion for creating and distributing high-quality, performance-driven accessories for gamers across Australia and beyond.

Through late 2019, and 2020, the Ausmodshop catalogue expanded well past paracord cables to include aftermarket mouse skates, mouse grips from brands such as Esports Tiger and Corepad, as well as micro switches, encoders, and more. All designed to help gamers fine-tune their gear for the perfect feel and performance.

The natural progression in 2021 took Ausmodshop from mouse modifications into the realm of gaming mouse pads, where we established partnerships with premium manufacturers such as X-Raypad, Lethal Gaming Gear, and others.

In late 2021, Ausmodshop began stocking gaming mice for the first time and proudly became the first retail partner in the world for Pulsar Gaming Gears, a milestone that marked the brand’s growing reputation within the enthusiast gaming community.

By this time, the business had outgrown the garage, and most of our founder’s house, making it clear that expansion was needed. This led to the move into a dedicated warehouse space, allowing Ausmodshop to continue growing and better serve its ever-expanding customer base.

In 2022, Ausmodshop became the first Australian-based distribution partner for Artisan Japan mouse pads, a milestone not only for the company but also for the enthusiast gaming community across Oceania. This partnership meant that the world’s most premium, high-performance mouse pads were finally available for immediate dispatch from a local source, often with overnight delivery. Later that year, Ausmodshop also became the first Australian-based, and one of the very first global partners for Lamzu Gaming mice, while also forming partnerships with Ninjutso and other emerging performance-focused brands.

Throughout the year, Ausmodshop continued expanding its catalogue of premium gaming and eSports-focused products, while onboarding a range of niche and emerging enthusiast brands to ensure Australian gamers always have access to the best selection of high-performance gear.

The Ausmodshop range continued to grow in 2024, expanding into keyboards, keyboard accessories, headphones, IEMs, and related accessories from renowned brands such as Arbiter Studio, TRUTHEAR, MoonDrop, and more. Around this time, we also made significant investments in custom packaging, advanced packaging machinery, and improved fulfilment processes to better protect products during transit and uphold the premium experience our customers expect when shopping at Ausmodshop.com.

The momentum continued into 2025, with the expansion of our small but dedicated team and significant upgrades to our warehouse infrastructure. During this time, we also entered an exclusive partnership with Finalmouse, just in time for the launch of the UltralightX Prophecy editions, and became an authorised retailer for Endgame Gear. We surpassed over 1,500 verified customer reviews, achieving an outstanding average rating of 4.99 stars across multiple platforms, including Google Customer Reviews.
